My boys lives have gotten much more busy and I need to switch my priorities around. I will miss my baby snuggles, but this was very much needed for my family.

Newborns are one of my favorite shoots, but they are also the shoots that take the most time to edit. Newborn skin ranges from perfect, to scratched up or full of acne. This is why I always edit the skin on my newborns for those "smooth like a babies bottom" look.
I prefer to schedule newborn sessions during the weekdays while my kids are at school. This is mainly for the perfectly posed shoots. Lifestyle, I can be much more flexible with my time. No matter what, I will do everything in my power to accommodate a perfect time to capture your growing family, as I completely understand that this newborn stage is very short.
Turnaround tends to be 2-3 weeks.

Newborn Session FAQ
Babies come when they want to. My first was 1 week early, and my second was 1 month early. They are unpredictable! That's why I always encourage my clients to set a "tentative" date with me a couple of months before your due date.
Here's when to finalize dates...
The best time to finalize a date is when you are in the hospital after having your baby.
However, contacting me in the next couple days is totally ok too!
The best time to photograph newborns is in the first 14 days. But I have also photographed 6 week "newborns"
Lighting Descriptions
Same Field, 3 different looks
Mid-Day
Any session that takes place from Mid-Morning up to 1 hour before sunset will have a harder midday light. Most parents like these times to work around nap and bedtime schedules. I will often will have my clients in a shaded area to diffuse the harsh lighting, but am not afraid to use the midday light to my advantage.
Golden Hour
The hour before the sun has set is the golden hour. The lighting will literally give your skin a warm glow. A favorite by many photographers for a good reason, beautiful moody tones and light flares galore!
Blue Hour
Once the sun has hidden itself behind the hills, the blue hour has started and that is when the sky really starts to shine! This is when you get the crazy beautiful colorful skies, moon in the background shots, and rainbow tones in the horizon. Typically, most of the final mini sessions of the day will contain some or all blue hour depending on location.
Travel
All Full Session prices include up to 25 driving miles from myself,
A travel fee will be charged for all locations beyond that.
